The early release day on Friday, December 20 will mark the beginning of our Winter break. Students will return to school on January 2.

Each year, the Piedmont Triad Education Consortium honors "Signature Schools." Selected from 18 districts throughout our region, these are schools that have exemplified excellence and experienced significant improvement in the last twelve months. Today we celebrated these accomplishments at the annual Signature Schools Award Breakfast held on the campus of UNCG. Congratulations to Franklinville Elementary School and Wheatmore High School on being selected as a Signature School for RCSS for the 2024-2025 school year!

Congratulations to Mrs. Jennifer Snotherly, Speech Language Pathologist and Mrs. Tina Reeder, Reading Specialist for being awarded the 2024-2025 Endowment Grants. These grants will go towards materials that they will utilize during the small groups with students. They both strive daily to ensure students are successful at Franklinville!

Our student council and clubs did a great job representing Franklinville Elementary School in the Franklinville Christmas Parade this morning. It was so much fun to see our students representing the school. We saw lots of students on other floats and in the crowd! Despite the cold, it was a great day to SOAR!

Mrs. Snotherly's first grade students enjoyed a brain break today to watch Franklinville alumni, Brecken Snotherly, #3 Guard for East Tennessee State University play basketball! They also integrated math by finding the difference between scores and comparing numbers. We love watching our alumni SOAR!

THE RESULTS ARE IN!
Franklinville proudly presents our newly voted Student Council Officers. Our 5th grade students campaigned by creating posters, presentations, etc to persuade their peers to cast a vote for them! The race was incredibly tight. For most positions, only a few votes separated several students. Our Presidental position was a 3 way tie! A second vote had to be taken to determine the outcome.
Now introducing your newest team:
-President: Kensley Husband
-Vice President: Kaylee Thomas
-Secretary: Lindsey Thomas
We are SO proud of all the students who ran for each of the positions! Our class representatives will be announced soon!
Keep SOARing, Cardinals!

Congratulations to Kennedy Beckham, our school Spelling Bee finalist and Ella Villanueva, runner up. All of our students did a great job participating in our spelling bee today. Kennedy will represent Franklinville at the district level Spelling Bee in February. Our Cardinals continue to SOAR in their learning!

Today, our Go Far Running Club participated in the Go Far 5K in High Point. Students have been preparing and training for today's event, and it certainly paid off! We are so proud of our Cardinals, and thank you to their families for joining us today!
Carl, the Cardinal, even made an appearance at the race today! He got to participate in the Mascot Race after the 5K for fan enjoyment!
Way to go, Cardinals! ❤️ You make us so proud!

Today we celebrated our students and their hard work over the first quarter of the 2024-2025 school year. Congratulations Cardinals, keep up the great work.

Reminder:
There is NO SCHOOL for staff and students on Monday, November 11th in honor of the Veteran's Day holiday!
