Please join us in congratulating Hopewell Elementary School on winning the Randolph County School System’s 2026 Elementary Battle of the Books competition!
🎉 Congratulations, Hopewell! 🎉
This year’s competition was especially exciting. For the first time in many years, we had to go through three tie-breaker rounds before determining the winner—an incredible testament to the preparation, teamwork, and reading dedication of our students.
A huge shout-out as well to our outstanding runners-up:
🥈 Trindale Elementary School – 2nd Place
🥉 Southmont Elementary School – 3rd Place
We are so proud of all the students who participated and grateful for the media specialists, coaches, teachers, and staff who supported these teams and helped foster a love of reading across our schools.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success and to our students for representing their schools so well.

This accomplishment reflects their dedication, teamwork, and countless hours spent reading, studying, and supporting one another.... in which they've accomplished in so little time due to the weather break! Their hard work and commitment to excellence truly represent the best of our school. Other schools commented yesterday how 'Hopewell looks so professional!"
Please enjoy some fun photos from our day yesterday! We enjoyed showing off our knowledge, taking funny pictures, eating pizza, and building lego projects to represent scenes from different books. Please join us in congratulating our team and wishing them continued success as they move forward!
